OK - If my Grandfather sits around and tell me stories about this beat up glove that Joe Medwick supposedly gave him, I am keeping it around for the sentimental value. Even if I was totally hard up and needed cash, I think I would rather set a higher minimum bid than $100. Maybe it's just me - but I want to believe the story. If it's true (no matter how much the story has grown over the years), it sounds like this is an heirloom, even if it's a store model.
I guess my point is - there are some things I have in my home that have made it through garage sales, tough financial times, marraige and now children. They might not be valuable or attractive, but they have meaning beyond the hobby.
Yet somehow, I have the urge to bid on this thing...
