Not much rolling in these last few weeks but I did add a nice Merton Hanks rookie era shirt to the collection a few days ago. The jersey was originally purchased by the seller directly from MOS and has a team letter stating it was worn in the 1993 season.
What is interesting about this jersey is that it is an old Russell shirt that has screened #s. The team then added a nameplate and sewn on letters as well as a glued on NFL shield. The shield has fallen off but the glue outline remains and there is no evidence that the shield was ever sewn into place.
There was no active player who wore #36 during the 1989 or 1990 seasons so I am assuming that this was a practice squad jersey that had been recycled and eventually issued to Hanks, as a rookie, in 1991.
The jersey is custom hemmed so the tagging has been removed but I find it fascinating that Hanks was issued a Russell brand jersey when the team had switched to Wilson the season prior.
The shirt has nice use, with a # of repairs, custom hem and sleeve eyelits. I have not been able to find any images of Hanks in the jersey but there are very few early Hanks pictures on Getty.
Always buying 49ers GU and any/all 1994 49er GU items. Finders fees paid for quality information that leads to a purchase!

Hi,
One for the old school folks. An AFL era (1968) BRONCS suspension helmet. Was used from '68 - '70 and worn by an offensive lineman at one point and transitioned to a punter and ended up worn by a back up QB.

Just picked up two Arizona Cardinals jerseys. Both show great game wear with multiple repairs and signed by player. Hanik Milligan and Reggie Walker. I am not a Cardinals fan but always liked their jerseys!

Just added a 3rd Ricky Bell jersey to my collection along with a trophy presented to him by the team for setting a franchise record with 167 yards rushing in a game.

A few new pickups are trickling in. Once my finances are completely in order a couple real nice shirts are going to pop up on this thread!
For now a 1994 Ken Norton Jr. practice worn jersey (thanks Matt) which was originally worn by Randy Cross. The nameplate has been removed and the crotch-piece cut off but the tags remain. Complete with team letter!
Always buying 49ers gamers and ALL 1994 GU 49er items! Paying a juicy finders fee for quality referrals!
