Here are a few shots of the D.J. Williams Broncos jersey I recently purchased on EBay. It was originally offered through NFL Auctions and I was thrilled with the use on it. There are several team repairs and a number of marks, stains, etc...
You have a great collection of jersey's there. I am very jelous of the two Bears you have. Where did you pick those up from? I am looking now for two specific items, a Bears and and a 2007 Bills throwback. I know Game Exclusives used to deal with the Bears but that seems to be not the case any longer. Awesome collection.

Hi Jay,
I have this 2007 Josh Reed throwback from the Cowboys' MNF game. I was at the game, great comeback win for the Cowboys.
I'm sure we all have certain items that we value more highly than anyone else would. For me, this Jamie Sharper practice jersey is one of those items, mainly because I primarily collect items from UVA guys, but also because I'm a Ravens season ticket holder and the amount of use on this thing is awesome.
some info on your great looking tomlinson helmet based on the photo of the date code you included in your post....
manufacturing (molding) info (as opposed to assembly info):
1. shell material - polycarbonate (adult shell)
2. shift - first (out of 3)
3. date molded - march 21, 2006
4. manufacturing location - in house
5. size - large
note: once the shell is molded it can take up to 6 months for it to be assembled (holes drilled, snaps added, padding added, etc.) - assembly date can be found on a decal inside of the helmet, usually in the crown area. this date is coded in small letters found beneath the serial number on the decal.

great chillar helmet! as i've mentioned before i'm not very interested in modern helmets but i do make an exception when it comes to rams' helmets (i'm a lifelong rams fan). what i really like about modern rams helmets (gold horns) is that unlike many other modern helmets, they are virtually impossible to fake. the horn decals are not available anywhere but at rams' park and from the rams' decal maker - you can find some knockoffs on ebay but they really aren't even close. also, todd hewitt (rams' longtime equipment manager) does some unique things with these helmets are are very tough to duplicate. his attention to detail is amazing - for example, he uses two different warning decals; one for schutt helmets and one for riddell helmets. the warning decals for riddell helmets are narrow and tall so they fit the width of the center ridge of the riddell helmet (non-revolutions) whereas the warning decals for the schutt helmets are wider.
Thank you aeneas. I got the Chillar from Jim Yackel, he received quite a few Rams helmets not long ago. I like the idea of the Rams helmets being so hard to duplicate - too bad that isn't the case for all teams. Take care.

Great pickup and at a bargain price to boot when compared to the original NFL Auction's sale price of $700+!
Andy McCollum, the long-time starting center for the Rams from the University of Toledo, wore #67 for the New Orleans Saints from 1994 through 1998. Note that he was active for only one regular-season game for the Saints in 1994, but did not participate in that game.
Regarding the Cardinals, I could not make a positive ID for the 1987 season. Keep in mind that three games were played with strike replacement players that year. Tony Mumford (Penn State) is listed as #34 on the 1986 preseason roster. He played two games in 1985 for St. Louis, but did not make the team in 1986. Jessie Clark (Arkansas & Louisiana Tech) appears to have worn #34 in 1988 and 1989 for the Cardinals.
Thanks, Patrick! I was pretty excited to see that jersey offered for such a relatively low price. I've also heard that Broncos jerseys aren't too easy to find and I've been a fan of DJ Williams, since his days with Miami and decided to go for it.
In looking at the jersey, there are several pretty big repairs to the shoulder areas. Although the NFL lists it as having been worn during the Chargers game, is it feesible that it was worn in others? I can't imagine the team repairing the shirt if it was just going to be donated to the NFL for sale in their auctions. Thanks again!!
Thank you both for helping me identify those helmets.
What you say about the Cardinals helmet makes a lot of sense - I wasn't even thinking about 1987 having replacement players.
Even though McCollum didn't play much for the Saints, I particularly like the helmet because it has the Jim Finks memorial decal on back. Memorial decals on authentic game-used helmets have always been hard to find from my experience.
