This is quite the topic. If there happens to be two Hearn or Kunkel collectors out there, all of a sudden these jerseys can go for much more than those of an uncollected "common" player... Hmmm... maybe a topic for a new thread?

I have 6 Kevin Greene jerseys and am working on buying another.
2 Steelers, 1 49er, 3 Panthers. I had a 89 Rams home, that I gave Kevin for his B-day last year.

I also have Ram turf shoes, his broken toe 49 shoes, Panther helmet, Rams event sport shirt, 49er side line sock cap, 89 American Bowl hat, wrestling T-shirt. Way to much stuff but, as long as he is giving I'm taking

I can't compete with most of you guys but I have 2 Delino DeShields jerseys (and am always looking for more).

For the record, I've always wanted a Bill Ripken jersey but it looks like that's never going to happen (someone has 22 of his jerseys - WOW!!).

Flaco to the best of my knowledge Strawberry did also wear #18 when he was with the Tides. Can you poster a picture here of your jersey or if you want to email me directly I would love to see it

suave..... u have any strawberry shirts from tidewater? i have one i believe is his and was wondering if he wore number 18 before he was called up? thanks, jeff its blue and from mooneys if i remember correctly

That is a great question!!!

I grew up loving baseball. As a matter of fact, I was the only one in my family that did. I began collecting baseball cards in 1985. There were a few that I enjoyed collecting. In particular they were Steve Trout (from my beloved Cubbies) and Jeff Kunkel (from my equally beloved Texas Rangers).

The cards were just cool looking, and they also both had Father/Son cards in the set. That sparked my interest. However, as I got older, as the internet shrunk the vastness of the world, and biographical information became easier to get, I realized that both guys had pretty cool stories. I've been lucky enough to meet Steve Trout, have dinner, and work on a baseball clinic with him. He is great.

Though, I've never had the opportunity to meet Jeff. He and I did bid against each other for one of his Charlotte Knights jerseys - many years ago. It was pretty odd to get an e-mail from him asking what the interest was in his gear. Needless to say, I let him have that one. He has been most gracious, over the years, signing many items that my wife (and later I) sent to him. The Kunkel family (Jeff and Kevin - I've never been in contact with the sister) just appears to be a wonderful loving family. I know Jeff and his wife have a close relationship with Christ. They care for their family, and give back to society. Kevin appears to have such a passion for others. Here is a link to his company.
