I think you guys are crazy that ball is a steal for 10m. I especially love the hint of green crayon on the edges of the ball. You just don't find them like that any more. That ball is just as rare as the Babe Pointing lol lolComment

Re: What satisfaction to people get from doing?
the guy probably hopes that people recognize it as a prank and have fun bidding it up to a new ebay record - only to then try and hold the winning bidder legally obligated by hiring an attorney that is more than willing to take a stab at the case given $$$$$ involved...

Don't go for this expensive one, because he has three more identical ones available for a mere $1 million each. But the shipping is a real bargain at only $2.99.Comment

Guys -
I used to do some watchdogging for eBay a few years ago when I was collecting autographs. Every now and then I would just get ignorant with items like this one...
The fact is that yes, this might be a joke - and it might be someone really trying to get a $10mil bid on an obvious forgery...
But, there are some really (and I mean it) stupid folks out there that will believe anything that they are told.
I wonder if some kid brought this ball to school to show his buddies and one of the "buddies" swiped it and with the help of a guardian, created the eBay account to reap his "rewards"...?
In this case it is probably a joke...but in my experience, I have seen and heard every excuse/story imaginable. I would like to see some of the responses to the questions the seller is asked.
Looks like someone now has a "binding contract"to purchase the ball....
