You guys have some amazing stuff!!! Do most of you focus on one team (your team) or do you just look for players you like or do you focus on players who had great careers (HOF'ers etc.)?
Always looking for great bats from members of the Red Sox HOF.
Thanks David,
Tony started coloring the mlb logos on some of his bats in '99 strictly out of boredom, in previous years he would sometimes draw rings around the upper handle/lower label area. I know Loumud also has a very nice Gwynn with the colored in logo.
He would also mess around with different tape jobs on the handle trying to find the most comfortable grip.
Bought a couple of items this month, but this one is worthy of adding to this thread. It's not a game worn jersey, but a screen worn jersey... Made by AIS, it's a wool jersey used in the "baseball scene" in the Sony motion picture "Hook" starring Robin Williams & Dustin Hoffman. Definitely one of the most unique pieces in my collection...

Here's an interesting one I just picked up, although not a game-used item.
When you consider that the first year that you could buy a Wilson retail authentic Bears jersey was 1986, and they switched to the plastic tagging in 1987, you have to come to the conclusion that this has to be one of the first true authentic "throwbacks".
I've run across several personalized 1986 "cloth tag" Wilsons, and of course a multitude of then-current player Wilson authentics but this is the first time I've seen an example of someone from back in '86 having the good sense to take advantage of the new-found ability to "create your own Bears jersey" and use it to highlight a former player.
Compared to the then-current player authentics and even the gamers from the day, the first thing that I notice is the sloppiness of the heat-pressing, specifically the thickness of the orange border on the letters and numbers. Also, the nameplate material is noticeably darker than the shoulder yoke fabric, something that you rarely see on gamers and first generation authentics. It's the correct fabric, it's just a darker shade of navy, like maybe the attention to detail on the custom-jobs wasn't quite what it was for the gamers and the current-player authentics, (which were completely identical).
Even still, it's a pretty interesting piece and a welcome addition to my Wilson stable.
Nolan ryan jersey I Received today from a private auction.
Is that a Russell athletic logo on the sleeve? If so, why would one exist on a Rawlings jersey?
