Re: Show your 2008 Yankees Final Season Items
I still need a item from the final game. All i have right now is my ticket from the game.
Does anyone here plan on going to the first game at the new stadium. I'm starting to save up some money for my tickets.Leave a comment:

Re: Show your 2008 Yankees Final Season Items
Kyle,
This may be the one item that I take to my grave with me. I love baseball and I love history and when you can combine the two in a game used item pounded with usage, and that item relates to the Yankees, well....it just doesn't get much better for me.
Unless of course, I could find a genuine Steelers GU jersey of unquestionale provenance and of a player I really admired and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Oh well, I guess I can dream........
That's what I'd assumeIf I had ANYTHING from the final Yankee Stadium Game, I'd take it to the grave too

Re: Show your 2008 Yankees Final Season Items
Thanks Brad. Just for context for anyone interested, I bought the Gardner jersey from Brad and when he got the Gardner helmet, he gave me first crack at it (probably suspecting that it was a "must have" for me). He has been very pleasant to deal with.

Glad to see the Gardner items displayed so nicely - they look fantastic. Check your e-mail - I have a hat here that would look very nice in that display!Leave a comment:

Re: Show your 2008 Yankees Final Season Items
Neat thread. While I don't have a man cave, I have been able to negotiate a man corner in which I have set up my Final Season items, consisting of the following:
* Brett Gardner Away Jersey, photomatched to last game of season (love the dirt from Fenway)
* Brett Gardner Batting Helmet, photomatched to last game at Yankee Stadium (pounded with use and worn as he scored the last run there)
* Phil Hughes Opening Away Series Jersey (boy do I wish I could go back in time and not bid on this one)
* Joba Chamberlain nameplate (actually have this displayed elsewhere in the home but put it on the shelf for purposes of the picture)
Not pictured and on the way in the mail is a Daniel McCutcheon Spring Training Game 1 jersey.Leave a comment:
