Re: June Pickups
Hey Bert - NICE BAT!
I was at one point considering starting a collection of Albert's bats that had been used by other players (and someday I will probably do it)...
Maybe even add a wing for bats from other players that Albert used.
Really a neat item.

Re: June Pickups
I got them because Jose threw them into the stands. I had to add the watermark after the ebay situation. Not planning on selling them, actually now planning on maybe collecting some Jose Reyes stuff.Leave a comment:

Re: June Pickups
I received this really nice select maple Endy Chavez Expos bat, an autograped Ron Swoboda card, and 4 unused tickets to the Expos last game at Shea in 2004 as a gift from GUU member Swoboda4.
This is the first select maple bat I ever owned and is a keeper!
Thank you again Robert!!

Jim here is the answer I got: The helmet pictures indicate it is from the Bill Glassford era, and gold pants were worn in that era, also. I can't say for sure if these pix prove 1953, but it's a good guess. Glassford was here from 1949 through 1955. Johnny Bordogna or Andy Lohr (Lincoln guys) might be able to pin it down from their playing days. Best I can do.

Re: June Pickups
Picked these up at the Mets Giants game tonight...
2008 Game Used Jose Reyes Batting gloves, he threw them to me after grounding out. Luckily I took a picture of him wearing them earlier in the game!

The Rolen bat was not advertised as having a chunk of the handle missing. I repaired the handle anyway, and was pleased that it was at least a clean break. The tar is still sticky, and I have cats - so that was a pain.
Albert made up for it.Leave a comment:
