A full-sized replica of the 1978 World Series trophy, made for Thurman Munson, sold Monday for $207,000 at the MLB All-Star FanFest’s auction at the Javits Center.

Munson’s 1977 World Series ring sold for $143,750; his 1976 American League Most Valuable Player Award sold for $126,500 and his 1978 World Series ring went for $97,750. In addition, his 1976 World Series ring, and a home uniform from 1979, his final season, sold for $86,250, while his 1974 Gold Glove sold for $51,750.
All prices include Hunt Auctions’ 15 percent commission.
A blue catcher’s mitt with autographs of players from Joe DiMaggio to Satchel Paige that were gathered by Munson during Old-Timers Days went for $18,400.
Two Babe Ruth artifacts sold for prices that eclipsed anything that once belonged to Munson. A hat that Ruth wore and gave to a Cleveland bar owner sold for $327,750 and a signed bat Ruth used in 1924 sold for $195,500.
The auction continues Tuesday with memorabilia being sold by Whitey Ford.
