Re: October Pick Ups
Just received my 2005 Matt LaPorta GU Team USA throwback (1988) jersey from USA baseball complete with a USA Baseball hologram and COA. Nice jersey showing good wear and one of LaPorta's earliest authenticated jerseys.

Re: October Pick Ups
Hello,
I just picked up a few more items for my Milwaukee Brewers collection. Here is a Tony Gwynn Jr game used hat from when he was playing for the Nashville Sounds in 2006 (Brewers minnor league team). The first bat is a uncracked Mike Cameron game used bat from the 2008 season. The other bat is Mat Gamel and this bat is also uncracked, he is one of the Brewers top prospect.
Thanks,
Jamie

If LaPorta has the career that many experts believe he can, that will be a jersey that we will be a centerpiece in any collection. CONGRATSComment

Re: October Pick Ups
If one collects vintage footballs, this style of "The Duke" football is about as rare as it gets. As for condition, this baby is a solid 8 out of 10 - UNBELIEVABLE.
It is signed by a slew of Chicago Bears. I am not sure of the year but I'll be starting that research ASAP.

Re: October Pick Ups
I have a 1986-89 Alonzo Powell gamer that I bought from the Pro Shop in early 1992. At the time I couldn't figure out why they had a bat from a minor leaguer who never played with the Twins. The number "31" was written on the knob so I assumed it must have been used by Scott Leius. I did some research and found out they played together in AAA right before Scott was called up to the Twins.
The Powell bat matches your Leius bat perfectly, same model, same color, and even the same notch in the knob. I had Leius sign the bat at the autograph party a year or so ago. I explained to him why I thought this was his bat and he agreed. He even inscribed it "gamer". However when I pointed out the notch in the knob (which is also visible on the bat he is swinging in the 1992 Twins yearbook photo) he replied, "I didn't do that".
