Ball Park made a nice pick up from Redsfest.... believe they had a few more that are not listed, maybe they sold already? That Burton jersey is one I am eying but that is a pretty heavy price.

I'm starting to see a few items from Redsfest floating around the internet. So far 15 jerseys mostly from Ballpark heroes, and 2 Votto bats...1 signed on Ebay. Anybody else seeing any items anywhere else? I'm really keeping an eye out for the Votto bats, as I heard quite a bit were sold.

    Thanks

Im hoping that it's the jersey he wore in his first major league game

And seeing as how he pitched 4 out of his 5 games with the Reds on the road, this may be his only game jersey with any decent game use

    Re: RedsFest ????

Good info here, now I have no regrets as I had to travel this weekend for work and missed RedsFest for the first time in years. I have found that much of the best stuff is sold by the Red's community fund at the ballpark during the season (albeit for a price of course...) In fact I picked up the following this season at GABP:

    1. Beautiful Joey Votto GU Autographed bat uncracked
    2. Sweet Jeff Keppinger GU autographed bat with a taped handle crack
    3. 2007 David Weathers autographed home red GU jersey

Pick ups from the 07 RedsFest include:

    1. GU Reds heavy dugout jacket worn in 2007, very nice.
    2. Home White GU Cool Base from R. Cormier
    3. Aaron Harang White sleeveless autographed jersey (not GU)
    4. Road autographed jersey (not GU) from Edwin Encarnacion
5 Two sweet GU bats from Jason LaRue
    6. GU bat from Juan Castro

    Previous pickups:

2005 Willy Mo Pena batting helmet
2003 Steve Smitherman batting helmet (both former Dayton Dragons hence the buys).

So past pickups from the Red's community fund have been good for me, sounds like this year was an exception however. BTW, all of the above will be hitting ebay soon so if any interest prior to that pls let me know.

I understand what your saying. Either except the fact that your going to have a VERY low chance on getting something good thats game used OR show up at 6am to be the first person in line and wait 10 and a half hours for the opportunity to race over and make a 30 second purchase. Unless your THAT dedicated, leave the wallet at home.

    Exactly my thinking

I am far from jealous. I am mad because I didn't get anything from my favorite player.

That whole community fund is a joke when it comes to selling game used stuff. They sold good stuff on mlb.com auctions and gave the fans the shaft with all of the Bako and Patterson crap they put out.

I went to a game this year and they had $600 on a Bronson Arroyo bat and $225 for a Javier Valentin bat. $600 FOR BRONSON ARROYO!!!

Why not just tell people beforehand that they have no shot at getting anything good when they are selling stuff during the season and that the HOF gets to cherry-pick the good stuff beforehand. Then see how many people come out. Personally, I know I would have to re-think coming to Redsfest if I knew I was just going to get screwed everytime.

I'm always bitter when I get shut out. Especially if I go to an event for the sole purpose of obtaining a certain autograph or any other item, then I'm really bitter.

    Hey:
Getting into Redsfest at 4:30 is too late! I thought Redsfest was GREAT! I saw people with Votto, Bruce, Phillips & Dickerson Bats and other Cool stuff. The most expensive Bats were $100.00. I think there were around 18,000 people that attended Redsfest this year. When the doors open at 4:00 many run to the Community Fund's Booth first before they get in line for autographs. You sound jealous of the people who were fortuate to get their favorite player. Just because you were shut out, does not mean that Redfest sucked! Grow up!

Did Reds HOF get any of the camouflage game used jerseys from 4th July weekend games? Did the players get to keep them, haven't seen any of those on the market.
