this will work for me as it will be put on the wall above a book shelf. it now measures 46 1/4 x 48 1/2. it is a maple finish with extruded aluminum inserts which will last forever. hooks can be bought on ebay in various styles and lengths.
i could possibly get a few more and modify them like this if anyone is interested. i don't know what shipping would be as i haven't weighed them, but they are heavy.
