Re: Jim Reynolds - A great American

Okay, there are two points I will make here:

    1) I just made a post on this thread telling people to stay away from personal attacks or face administrative consequences. Unbelievably, I had to delete one post on the same thread that did exactly that, attempt to attack and discredit another. As promised, the poster will be suspended.

    2) I also deleted another post that attempted to attack GUU. That post was a mis-characterization of the site and its administrators. In fact, I have emailed the poster with my phone number and told him to call me to discuss the misunderstandings I believe he has. I received no phone call and instead I continue to see these unwarranted attacks. I have left his posts on the site in the past so that people didn't think we wouldn't allow criticisms of us. However, given I have asked the poster to call me to discuss what I believe are his misunderstandings and he has chosen not to, I no longer feel compelled to leave his posts here. As I put in my email to the poster, if you would like to discuss this my number is 925.552.8023. Until you call me please refrain from your unjustified and misinformed attacks. If you chose not to call me and continue to make these type of posts you will face the administrative rules as well (which is ironically what you suggest we should do anyway).

This forum exists for people to share information and help one another. It continues to do so and has helped change the hobby in dramatic ways. The site continues to grow and the amount of participants and information being shared continues to grow as well. There is simply no place for these attacks. While we hate to have to suspend anyone, it looks like we unfortunately will have to resort to doing so if these attacks persist.

Please feel free to email me (my email address is below) or call me at 925.552.8023 if anyone has any questions or concerns.

I agree that Jim is a great guy and great american. As for the posts, why can't we all just accept that fact that people are going to have differing opinions and leave it at that?

No matter what the topic, we are going to disagree...so why do people need to take it further and make it personal? Politics, sports teams, blondes v. brunettes, cars, or anything else. Let's face it, if we all liked the same things all supply and demand would go to hell and we would not have much of a hobby.

Thank you jppopma.......I would like to be on record on one issue that you mentioned. I like both blondes AND brunettes equally!

                      Hi Chris,

I made my comments publicly, if there was a problem with my comments, please feel free to answer them publicly as well, for I think it will be beneficial for the people that originally started the thread. My comments were very legit and deserve to be answered, not deleted time after time. That gets us nowhere.

The thread was made for a reason....

Thank you chakes. I had an enjoyable day...worked a little, looked at my new Milledge jersey a little, ran around town with the kids going to 8 different stores looking for Nats cards so that the kids could get autos at the Winter Caravan tomorrow. All in all, an enjoyable day!

Well, loathing the New York Yankee$ is as natural to me as breathing, so I guess I'm not a great American...but I'm OK with that!
