Re: Show off your *ERROR* bats
Any recent error-bat pick ups? I noticed that historic auctions has a 'TOMY WOMACK' bat right now...

Re: Show off your *ERROR* bats
I would rather not have an error bat. Like BMH said, some of the ones that they catch end up getting used by minor leaguers. And I wonder how many of those bats enter the market as gamers from that given player.Leave a comment:

Re: Show off your *ERROR* bats
Um truly depends, sometimes Charlotte will put in the name incorrectly or the guys will transpose letters off the production ticket. She will go back to check records and correct them so it's not possible to see if it was misspelled in the records.Leave a comment:

Re: Show off your *ERROR* bats
I guess this would be mostly a question for Brian.
Is there any way to tell from the bat shipping records whether the name was misspelled on a particular shipment?
For instance, I'm looking at this Wilkin Castillo bat
where they've misspelled his first name. Will the shipping record likely say "Wilken" or "Wilkin"?
I'm mainly asking because I'm pretty sure this bat was made in '07 or '08 (it's marked with the uniform number he used in ST in both those years) and I was curious as to whether I could figure out which year it was made.Leave a comment:

Kila Kaaihue Kansas City Royals bat with the first "A" in his last name inverted. (Thanks, Jim!)

Re: Show off your *ERROR* bats
"Valdimir" Guerrero, Ralph "Houck", Sandy "Aldmar", and Ryne "Sandbreg."
Bushing told me a couple years ago that this was the earliest Adirondack bat he'd ever seen, and I've always wanted to take the Ryne bat to a show to see if he'd sign it "Sandbreg."
