I was pretty sure it was a store model bat with the 40W on the center brand. I've just never come across one weighing 44 oz. Thanks for the help guys.

For it to be a pro model/game used, the bat would either need to have "MADE BY" or 125 or dash dot dash where 40W is.

I remember seeing a Wagner decal bat sell for, I think it was, 85K a few years ago, but I don't recall the decal looking quite like that. The article I read about the auction also included a photo of Wagner with a decal bat like the one being auctioned.

    Honus Wagner Decal Bat

Need some help on this one guys. A friend of mine emailed me some pictures of a bat he came across and wanted to know some more info on it. He sent me three pictures. One of the knob, the center brand and the decal. After taking a look at these three pictures and seeing the 40W, I was fairly sure this was just a store model decal bat. That is, until he said it was a 36 in. 44 oz. bat. I had him send me a few more photos. I know Wagner used a 44 oz. bat at one point in his career, but did he ever use a decal bat??? Any help would be much appreciated on this one. Check out the pictures below.

    Thanks!
