What's up guys...funny, I'm a Gator collector and just found this forum as well. I've been collecting for a short time...first authentic jerseys and then game used/worn stuff. Small collection, but growing. It's nice to finally find a spot on the web to talk about this stuff.

As far as the 08 jerseys, I believe there is a waiting period before the school releases them for sale i.e. it's not directly after the season is over. I've heard several stories, so if anyone knows for sure, let me know.

I'm definately in awe of the collections posted, especially the Man Cave theatre room. (Homer Simpson..."aggggghhhhh") Go Gators!

Was there any way to tell which player wore each helmet?

I checked, and there werent player numbers on the inside of the helmet, so I'm not sure that there's any way to confirm who wore each helmet. They do have the year label inside them (see the pics of my Harvin helmet for reference - http://sports.webshots.com/album/563104458XQnITv).

I would venture to guess Cory Bailey as he had this number for four years, (01-04) and seems to have little wear more consistent with special teams play, but in this world, who knows... =) That is what I tell the kid anyway... lol

I really would like to add an 08 Gators jersey or helmet, but don't even have an idea where to start looking. I will be in Gainesville this weekend, do they sell them at the team store?

I was in Gainesville last weekend, and they have the '08 helmets for sale (with the BCS decal) for $400 a pop.

Hello and welcome! Check out the web site www.theclassicstuff.com - click on game used college NCAA helmets. Larry Pet... forgive me the last name I quite cannot recall the exact spelling. He is a member here - class act! I purchased a 2004 game used helmet and love it. He may have one in inventory or can get you one.

I am not so much, but my 7-year-old stepson is a fan (not sure where he got it being in Ohio) but I got him a game-worn helmet with the visor, some hit marks and BCS sticker on the back. He loves it!!!
