Picked up an Aaron Harang Sunday alternate jersey and a Deivi Cruz name plate. Thanks goes out to Josh for the jersey and Dale for the Tigers plate.

Here's a strange item - a salesman sample Miami Dolphins helmet that was made by Wilson. The helmet is a late 1970's Wilson Model F-2101 helmet - the helmet logos, stripes, chinstrap and dungard style aqua facemask appear to be original items. On the inside of the helmet, there is a sticker that says, "Sales Sample Not For Use or Play".

A pretty neat but very strange vintage item.

1995-96 San Francisco Spiders Darcy Martini. One of the toughest hockey styles to get in the hobby. One year IHL franchise. Nice wear with material backed team repairs. Thanks Chris and GUU

Great bat, Justin really is a nice guy. Met him last week in Chicago where he signed before the game and chatted it up with the fans.

Picked up thiswell used Mel Stottlemyer jersey at Safeco last night. He is a great guy and was a hell of a pitcher in his day with over 40 shutouts, 3 20 plus win seasons and a lifetime era under 3 spaaning 11 years...not to mention the picthing coach for the Yankees last 4 world championships.
    Cheers,
    Ty

And I'm happy with this trade as well. Teufel was one 1987 player I was missing in my mini-collection of 87 roads, and I was more than happy to have a playoff issued jersey than a "hole in my collection."

Not to mention that the Bill Spiers jersey meant far more to Sam than it did to me... so it was a win/win for everyone.

Course, my lazy self had no chance to photograph it (or anything I picked up these past couple of months). Thankfully Sam had some photos of the jersey already

BEST MAIL DAY EVER! Bonus - Photomatching NIGHTMARES!

Today I received a 1995 Bill Spiers Mets road gamer in a trade with TNTtoys. I traded him my 87 Mets "Playoff" issued Tim Teufel to go along with his others from the 87PO sets. I was thrilled to get a Spiers jersey and trading an issued for a worn was a no-brainer to me (especially since Spiers was also the starting punter for the 86 Gator Bowl Champion, Clemson Tigers).

I was able to add this supremely rare (in the realm of Clemson collectors) KC Chiefs jersey from the 1979-82 range to my collection from Hunt Auctions. It has hit marks, holes, vintage team repairs, etc. Screened numbers with sewn on nameplate. It is of WR Stan Rome. Rome has ZERO trading cards, program covers, etc so this was a must have for me. FYI, Rome was 12th round pick of the Chiefs in 79 (probably because their 1st round pick was Rome's college QB, Steve Fuller). He was also a 4th round pick of the Cleveland Cavs that same year. He had one career TD (1981 vs the Vikes in the season finale), and it was from Fuller, which I THINK was the only TD from a Clemson QB to a Clemson WR in NFL history.

A game helmet from the mid 70s worn by Walt Downing, All American center for the University of Michigan in 1977.
The helmet has Walt's auto as well as Coach Schembechler's auto.
