Re: Let's See Your Game Used Fielding Gloves
Just picked up a Trevor Plouffe Rawlings infielder's glove manufactured April 2005 (ECEK). Got it from a guy who was close with Plouffe, said it was his first glove used in the minors. Shows TONS of use, pictures will be uploaded tomorrow when I have access to more than a phone.
I do have a question, though, as this is my first glove. My glove is already showing some cracking (as it is well used), do you guys use anything to keep them preserved or just let nature run it's course? Any good ways of storage to make sure it doesn't get worse?
Also, let me know if you have any other Plouffe stuff, I'm getting very eager to grow my collection.

Re: Let's See Your Game Used Fielding Gloves
As for used gloves, players probably like to switch things up. Some use the same glove for years, but others are perfectly comfortable breaking a new glove in. And players can get gloves from any manufacturer.Leave a comment:

Re: Let's See Your Game Used Fielding Gloves
I was just curious under what circumstances a player would get rid of gloves? They don't break as such like a bat or a batting glove and I would assume they are not cheap to buy and players would become very attached to their glove.
Is it on MLB level player/star MiLB players that get customized gloves or can any player obtain one from the manufacturer?
Thanks,
Mark.Leave a comment:

Re: Let's See Your Game Used Fielding Gloves
There was a thread on game issued gloves a while back:
Someone had customized a bunch of custom "game issued" gloves and listed them on eBay, including a Zambrano. I believe it went unsold, before being eventually bought by the ebay lister. Still a great game model glove though.Leave a comment:
