Have a couple of Yankees home jerseys with dirt on them but this seems to be the most used and abused of my collection. Wilson Betemit Road Uniform worn in the last game of 08 at Fenway. Got the pants and helmet to go with it to! (Along with Cleats and LS Bat but no evidence to prove they were used in that game) Mostly dirt smudges and splatters across back and front.
This is my most hammered baseball jersey. It's an '06 Dontrelle Willis Marlins jersey. I don't think the attached photos show the dirt and staining in great detail but it's there.
If we're going any sport, everyone may bow down to this beauty.
I counted 99 repairs in it. The crest is wrinkled to a ridiculous extent, the pilling is crazy, and...well, see all those grayish-black marks? Those are from sticks and pucks. Most of them wash out when the jerseys are laundered after every game, so to get one to stick requires a hellacious impact.
I also have the white twin of this one as well. It's not really white as much as a pale gray.
Tagging to one of my Rickey Henderson jerseys. Not sure if you can see it, but there is a material and size flag tag tightly curled up at the base of the Russell strip tag. You can see the extensive fabric pilling around the tagging, as well. Most hammered modern jersey of a Hall of Famer I've ever seen.
Kyle needs to put his Willy Taveras WBC jersey in this thread! As for me, I never mind dusting off my Mark Brunell jersey from 11/30/1997 vs. the Ravens.
These photos don't even due this ST jersey justice. The obvious dirt stains can be seen in the photos. What can't be seen is ground in fresher looking dirt that is on part of the back number and through Percy's nameplate. Obviously Percy did quite a bit of stretching on the ground while wearing this (definitely back in his thinner days!!).
