Baby powder is good, a good eraser swiped a few times over the gloss works, and I read today that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser used lightly takes down the gloss so sharpie stays put. Just don't rub too much or too heavily.
Ya i agree with what tedw is saying baby powder is a good eraser and i would recommend you that you should go for it..
Thanks Helen. Robin was a great person today I was able to talk to him for about 20 minutes. We talked about racing and about his son Dustin who also played pro ball. He signed a few things for me like a game used bat, ball, and the Perez Steele card. Not every day you get to meet one of your heroes growing up.
Hello,
I just wanted to say thanks to the people who helped me out with my question. I went to Davey Nelson's glof tournament today at Black Wolf golf course in Kohler, Wisconsin. I was able to get Robin Yount to sign a Perez Steele card, the baby powder trick worked. THANKS!!
sports jerseys & equipment are not the only used/worn items that sell in the open market, run a completed listings for this search and you'll be amazed at the prices some of these go for:

Does baby powder work on those Perez Steele cards or the yellow HOF cards? I want to thank everyone who has left an answer to my question, keep them coming.
This one was sugegsted back in the 1980s when I was writing Up Autograph Alley for SCD. It works, but you would have been surprised at how many collectors back then (all males) pooh-poohed the idea for being too "girly". As far as I'm concerned, if it works, it's a good idea. I wonder if any of these macho types have lightened up by 2009?
