I have used this method to match dark blue, white, orange and green jerseys and had great success with all 4 colors.

Great thread. I am trying identify the number changes on two shirts that I have. I have a small handheld black light and have held it under the shirts, in the dark, but have not been able to tell what the old numbers were. Is there a trick to this that I am missing? Both shirts are star players so it is very interesting that either shirts have number changes. I have photo matched and video matched both shirts so they were both worn by the player whose Shirt it is. It would be very interesting to see who wore the shirts prior. I find it fascinating that teams still recycle their jerseys even with star players. One shirt is from 1994 and the other from 1997.

One shirt is being autographed at the Hall of Fame weekend so once it is back I will post images of both.
