I haven't been very active collecting game used items lately. I do keep an eye out for good deals and things that fit my collecting themes. I noticed Kruk Cards was selling a number of Carlos Guillen game issued Seattle Mariners jerseys. Some of them were from his brief 2012 stint--I really doubt he used them for more than photo shoots. They did however have a couple from 2002-2003. I looked through all the pictures posted and found a couple that showed signs of use (i.e. wash wear, loose threads, etc.). I picked the 2002 home jersey with the 25th anniversary patch. Here is a group shot of my Carlos Guillen game used collection (with my new addition):

2006 Tigers Home helmet

I have owned an additional 3 or 4 Guillen bats, but pared that back to my current 3 bats.


My Guillen want list:

Tigers Away jersey (preferably 2007)
Any Tigers specialty jerseys (i.e. Jackie Robinson Day, Negro Leagues, Turn Back the Clock, etc.)
Tigers home or away hat
Glove

knowing little about Tigers game worn jerseys, what accounts for the sleeve trim difference on each jersey (was Whitakers' customized?)?

I didn't even notice that it was slightly smaller until now, I will take another look tonight. I had noticed that the name/number was set lower than the Trammell and others, but I found this photo from 93 that could be this jersey. I am patiently waiting on the high resolution file of this photo so I can make a definitive photo match. One of the other differences between the two jerseys is that the tagging on the Whitaker jersey is a 1992 carry over, where as the Trammell is of the 1993 period.

I just hauled in an amazing set. Matching 1993 Set 2 jerseys from one of the best duos on the field.

Well guys, it would be nice to post something from a World Series victory but until then I was glad to pick up the following items:

- Ramon Santiago Game #3 home jersey, he didn't play in the game but there are a few tobacco stains on the front.
- Danny Worth home batting helmet, pinch ran in one game but couldn't find anything close to be able to photo match. The shot from the dugout is still kind of cool.
(If anyone has MLBtv and could get a tight shot of him on first base I'd love to see it.)
- Delmon Young road cap, shows some dirt around the edges but again, noting that could be photo matched.
