Ha, I was just going to offer to check at a Tigers game for you too. As for 2008 I see the Jays come here in August. I'm sure I could get you one then. As long as nothing historic happens in the game, they are usually only $35 and authenticated.
Just wanted to say THANKS to TigerSteve and TigerDale for the Tip on the Tigers Game Used Baseballs. I was able to make contact with Marc at the Tigers and he was able to get me a Game Used Baseball ( MLB Hologram ) from Last nights Game for $35 plus shipping.
On another note , I have also picked up recently GU Baseballs from 2004 , 2006 and the Final Out of the Final Round Alex Rios Gold HR Derby Ball.
So the search continues for a 2005 GU Ball. Might have to be one of those over-priced "Milestone" baseballs from MLB.com Auctions to complete the set.
Major League Ballhawk however has actually caught 75% of his balls and has 99 game home runs. Hample on the other hand admittedly "begs" for the balls he gets. Personally I would rather catch a ball than be a 30+ guy asking a player for a ball on a daily basis.
Either way though they both do it differently and that makes them both pretty cool.
My name is Zack Hample, and I've snagged more than 12,000 baseballs in the stands at MLB stadiums. I don't blog anymore, but there are hundreds of *amazing* entries here in the archives, …
i never seen someone so passionate about catching a ball than ballhawk. also there is this kid who was on letterman showing off his technique of getting ball that are beyond hand reach of ball still on the field. dont know his name tho. both kids at heart.
