Here is the homeplate signed and inscribed by Jeter as it was used during his 2,000th hit game (and quite a few ARod HRs)

Bats belonging to Bulbus and BernBabyBern are two fine examples of Jeter gamers too. The real Jeter collectors know how Jeter loves to use his bats to death. Nice bats guys!Leave a comment:

Top photo was from 9/9 and the bottom photo as from the AB of the record breaking hit on 9/10.
I'm sure that the record breaker bat was saved after that hit and it's either in Jeter's personal collection or heading to the HOF.Leave a comment:

I hope one day my team has the type of history as the Yankees to celebrate milestones like this.
Several years ago Jeter hit his 2,000th hit at Yankee Stadium and I bought the homeplate. I had Derek sign and inscribe it and also ARod hit a few HRs on it so had him sign it and inscribe it too. It is packed away so I don't have any pics but will try to take some later on.
I have several game used balls.
Then I have this Jeter art

Mets,
What at-bat is that from. The one that i noticed was in the 6th or 7th, when he grounded in a double play.Leave a comment:

I don't think it's cupped but has the circle shaped paint wear like on the bat Tom (TFIG) has.Leave a comment:

Did any one else notice that Jeter was using a bat that was cupped. I never seen Jeter use a cupped bat before.Leave a comment:

As far as the significance? You're talking about the most storied franchise in sports history - all the World Series - all the MVPs, etc... yet NO memebers of the 3,000 hit club - EVER.
Jeter will be the first - and possibly the ONLY Yankee member of the 3,000 hit club as only time will tell if A-Rod will melt under the stress and run from NYY like he did Texas and Seattle before them.
CONGRATULATIONS Derek!!!

Passing Lou Gehrig for Yankee team hit leader is just a tad :sarcasm: more significant than anything having to do with Bill Buckner or the Pirates (sorry Pirate fans). Sure, it's not 3000 hits (yet) but it's still significant.Leave a comment:

So is this 6 or 7 hits past Bill Buckner? I lost track....
This would be like celebrating a person who breaks the Pirate hit record.....I just don't get it.Leave a comment:
