Re: October pick-ups
Added a couple HOF bats yesterday. The Kirby Puckett bat matches factory records from '92, '94 and '95 (P339, 34.5"/32 oz.). The Robin Yount matches records from '83 (P72C, 35"/33 oz.). A couple of my favorite non-Cardinals players!

Re: October pick-ups
So far this year, my brother and I have bought the American League East, the AL Division Series and the AL Championship Series. We should wrap up the World Series in about a week...and all this while the 29 other suckers in this league and the City of New York are paying for our new $tadium!
Ain't life grand?
Yours,

Re: October pick-ups
Well, I almost scored a cracked Pedro Ciriano bat at the Scottsdale Scorpions (Arizona Fall League) game today...but I was edged out by an obviously more qualified and dedicated collector.
Ah, to be 22, female, wearing a filmy halter top.
I'm guessing her boyfriend will have the bat up on eBay within a couple of days.
On the brighter side, I've got my DBacks prospects ball all signed, and have started on the Scorpions cap. Brandon Allen put a very nice, big sig on the bill for me today, and a couple of others signed as well. They've got Japanese players on the Scorpions and Desert Dogs teams this year, and I'm getting all of those guys on one ball. Almost hurt myself trying to pronounce one of their names today. ("Tsujiuchi-san!")
Tomorrow, I get to stalk Brant Brown, former Cub and currently hitting coach for the Surprise Rafters, to get Mike's two bats signed.Jeff

Re: October pick-ups
Got this new Billy Butler MLB holo. According to MLB, it was broken in first inning of game on 7/19/2008 at Chicago White Sox. I figured I stand a good chance of matching it to 7/18/2008, when Billy had a couple hits including a Homerun. Alas, I have checked all my normal editorial photo site and can find nothing around that date. Might have to try some MLBTV footage at some point.
