Re: October pick-ups
Welcome to your first (and hopefully last) communication with Mr. Congeaniality, Mauer7.
He's a likable guy, eh? I kind of equate my correspondences with him to biting down on my favorite piece of halloween candy......only to find a hidden razorblade........geez, such a disappointment!Comment

Re: October pick-ups
Two lids were received in the mail today from a bullpen coach (Juan Nieves, White Sox) and a supersub (Scott Hairston, A's). Never hurts to make friends with guys in uniform and discover their interests for potential swaps.

Re: October pick-ups
Just got this in the mail today...it was originally purchased directly from the Knights and included the original reciept.
2005 Frank Thomas minor league rehab Charlotte Knights jersey. Sizing and numbering are correct for his rehab assignment. Shows tremendous use, and an obvious renumbering, most likely from the need to fit big Frank into a jersey larger then most.
Attached are the pics of the front and the back. Also attached is a shot of the Big Hurt in a 41 jersey from the Knights...its just not the mesh style that I have. I've had difficulty finding Frank in the mesh BP style jersey while at the Knights, but am 100% confident in its legitamacy.Comment

Re: October pick-ups
Last week I showed a Lonnie Smith 1991 NLCS bat that I had just gotten. I was able to trade the Smith for a Ron Gant NLCS bat. The Smith had better use but since I collect all things Gant this was a trade I was thrilled to make!
