Re: Show Me Your Chicago Bears Stuff.......

Just picked up this Pre-Season helmet. Not sure who wore it. Seller had another signed by about 9 players with a different mask. Didn't get it but may pick it up, price was very reasonable but wanted to get one in before getting the other. Has a Bears barcode inside not sure if there is a way to find out whose it was by that or not

Perlman9, very cool helmet! Nice to see a Bears game used helmet on this thread. Alot of Bears jerseys and shoes to look at, but it sounds like there are not many game used Bears helmets around (being a helmet collector, I love looking at the helmets!). Thanks for posting photos of your Bears helmet!

Hi Perlman 9: Thank you for your gracious offer (I appreciate it!), however, while I really enjoy seeing photos of game worn NFL helmets from any and all other teams (like the Bears), I actually collect only and exclusively Minnesota Vikings game worn helmets. So I would not be interested in obtaining a Bears helmet. But I appreciate seeing the photos of the Bears helmet you obtained for your collection!

Bears guys: I found some neat YouTube videos posted by JO Sports, two of which feature awesome footage of Bears jerseys. Check it out:

I've shopped in 1 or 2, and my thoughts aren't particularly generous. Most of what they had in the past were practice jerseys. There is a 2-minite clock which is started when you enter the sale area (limited to 5 or 6 people at a time). When the 2 minutes are up, what you have in hand is what you buy. The sale is run by Bears equipment guy Tonly Medlin, and he has been known to deny entrance to anyone with a dealer badge.

I have to agree with Dave. Having gone to the last Fan Fest, I ventured into the 2 minute drill. This was midway through the Fan Fest, so it's possible that a lot of the good stuff was gone. I like gloves and they had said a small number of gloves sold earlier. What I did see were practice jersey, game used pants, socks, faceguards, locker room name plates, t shirts, shorts and some random items.

Again, I'm not sure what was selling prior to me getting there, but I was hoping for cleats and gloves, none of which I saw.

I wouldn't attend this sale ever again.
                      What a waste of time

That was me, I haven't had a chance to take any photos yet, but I will post soon. I was happy with the price as well, the autos aren't great, the only decent sig is Chris Harris. I may try to wipe the sigs off except for Harris.

It didn't come with a chinstrap, anyone know where I can get the straps that are used on those helmets. I looked on Riddell's website, but they don't look the same, am I wrong?

                            Hi Guys,
First of all, AWESOME stuff! As a Bears fan, I'm in awe of a lot of these items.

Secondly, I have a question for you regarding pricing:
How much would you pay/what is a fair price for a Brian Urlacher 2003 game used jersey autographed and inscribed "game used 2003"? I saw a non-autographed GU one on JOsports for 8000. I was just wondering what you guys thought a good price would be as I have a chance to pick one up and want to make sure I'm getting a good deal. Please let me know your thoughts

                            Thanks!
                            Chris

Chris, welcome to the forum. It would be helpful if you could post pictures of the jersey. Some of the more learned members here can first tell you if the jersey is even a legitimate piece before you throw any money at it.

Unfortunately, the site I'd be getting it from doesn't show any other pictures than this:

It's from a reputable chain store (don't want to say where as there's only 1 for sale there), so if it weren't 100% perfect, I'd have no problem getting a return. It's probably impossible to tell from those pics.
Also, what would be the approx average price for a gamer like this? Would 6k be over-paying? Sorry for all the questions, and thanks in advance for the help!
