Re: December pick ups
Thanks Dave. Yea, you see TONS of his 91-92 jerseys out there, but I've only seen 2 of these home warmups offered-that's including this one. I'm happy with it and got a good deal on it too.

Greg:
Excellent Bird warmup! A Celtics insider told me many years ago that Bird had as many as 20 jerseys made for his final year. You see a lot of those, but the warmups, home or road, are nowhere near as plentiful.

Re: December pick ups
I think Bill Simmons (http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/simmons/index) is in the last photo of Bird coming out of the tunnel. He is in the khaki pants and blue button down shirt (next to the usher in the red sport coat). He mentions in his book that he had season tickets right there for a number of years.Leave a comment:

Re: December pick ups
Larry Bird 1991-92, last year, 100 year anniversary patch, game worn Celtics home warmup jacket. Champion size 46+4. Everything matches up perfectly with the two photos that I found of him wearing it. Check it out:Leave a comment:

Re: December pick ups
You are right, I keep getting those mixed up for some reason, I think because so many X bats are all black. Thanks for correcting! I am not a huge bat collector, so tend to make a few mistakes in describing.Leave a comment:

Re: December pick ups
I had a few requests for the bats I got, so here they are. The Shumaker is broken in two and taped together. It is pretty cool as the knob has his name, number and 2004 Tennessee Smokies on it to ID the bat and year. The Cabrera has his number and 32.2 inside the cupped end. The Cody Ross has the number 12 engraved on the handle.

Re: December pick ups
Yea, it was actually the 76 topps Boog card that made me a Booger fan. I thought wow-this guy is huge-and the bright red Indians jersey didn't make him look any smaller either. No doubt he was a solid player too. I guess Boog hated those Red Indians jersey. He thought it made him look like Santa Claus!Leave a comment:

Re: December pick ups
That lousy 1977 Topps Boog Powell card was the last card I needed to complete the set, way back when I bought cards. It took me YEARS to find it (pre-eBay, of course.)
Thanks for the memory.
