Re: Is this George Brett game used?
All Score Board retail jerseys were home whites...there are no roads/alternates in the issuances.

One last question before this is sent to Mears. Is there anything about this jersey that signals a possibility of it being a salesman copy?Leave a comment:

Re: Is this George Brett game used?
MLB will only authenticate items that they witness being used...nothing of the past. This is why a lot of items get the MLB Authentication of issued that show use because they will do a bulk authentication with some teams at the end of the season and inturn didn't see the items used and therefor term them as issued. If you peruse mlb.com they go into further depth and are much more articulate then I was. In lamens terms No, they wont authenticate your jersey.

Re: Is this George Brett game used?
Thanks guys for the imput. I'm guessing the next step is Mears and a questionoes MLB Authenticated authenticate jerseys from all years or do they only authenticate what they hologram?
I would love to DNA the hair caught in the jersey velcro. Well, one day.Leave a comment:

Re: Is this George Brett game used?
Wow...nice to actually see a legit Brett (seemingly so from peoples responses) and not a Scoreboard jersey (which it seemed one was popping up every other week for a while). That made my night! Had to share my thoughts...sorry.

Re: Is this George Brett game used?
The sleeve script is visible in your photo, I just had not had the time to look and see if there were any differences in where the script was located on different year jerseys. That script placement looks correct for 1991.

RJB44-I'll take a closeup of the Rawlings script and post it tomorrow . What's the story as far as the script?
sox83cubs84- There's wear on this one and the velcro square that's on the front of the inside jersey is worn with red hair stuck to it.Leave a comment:

Re: Is this George Brett game used?
Looks pretty normal, though I would want to see wear...numerous set2 1991 Rawlings gamers of stars hit the market in the early 1990s, and all could not have been worn...some would, at best, be game-ready/team-issued.

Re: Is this George Brett game used?
Flag tag look correct for the 1991. How about the Rawlings script on the sleeve, is that correct for 1991?Leave a comment:

Re: Is this George Brett game used?
Rudy, the label type is a match to your primer. But are the flag tag(s) in comparison to other 1991's a match? -RobertLeave a comment:

Re: Is this George Brett game used?
If anyone can weigh in about this jersey as to the size being accurate for Brett(size 44). I know in CampWest's thread "George Brett's last home game bat-NOT" a jersey was mentioned and it displayed a size 44. The angle of the back number was in dispute but was the size,44,accurate for Brett?Leave a comment:

Is this George Brett game used?
A very good friend has shown me a George Brett jersey consigned to him. He ,and the owner(as well as I),have no idea if it's game used. I have a slight idea,as I learned a little from you guys over the years. Let me show this item to the Forum for your opinion.
The Discolorization is from the cell phone camera. The lettering is even white.
