Interesting. I see they have listed a Sabathia WS cap in there. I wonder how many caps he wore during the series.

I'm just curious if any Yanks used World Series labeled bats in the Series.
I wonder what Yanks kept themselves. Don't they have some sort of Hall Of Fame in the New Stadium, where they display stuff. Like game used artifacts and have a bunch signed baseballs.

When did Jeter break Gehrig's "streak?"

    From what I remember:

Steiner had an assortment of home jerseys offered to the public - maybe about half the team. All sold direct. They also had road jerseys - more available then home. Some sold direct, others sold at auction.

They only had approx 7-8 hats - all of which sold at auction.

They had (and still have) game used balls and bases.

I did not see, nor was offered, any game used bats specific to the World Series.

I join Indeyred in wondering what Steiner got. The only thing I inquired about was the Rivera glove which they had. Wonder if they had any game used bats from Jeter, ARod, etc from the the Series. If anybody knows or heard we'd be interested. (Obviously they had a Jeter hat.)

Did Steiner get any bats that were World Series used and engraved 2009 World Series?
I wonder what a Jeter, Tex, Arod WS used bat world sell for. Did any of them use ones engraved with WS 2009 on them. I know Louisville Slugger sends players that use them a few like that.

I would try to call Steiner and talk to a rep if there was something you want from the series. I think a lot of the big items may be gone now but I suspect they still have some worth while things listed if you can afford them. If there is something specific you want or want to see what they have I would try to call someone there.

thanks cjclong and legaleagle92481 for the feedback, I'm looking for game used items from Game 6 of the World Series since that was the clincher and final game for the first year at the current Yankee Stadium. The only item I saw on Steiner was a batting practice base, which I think was about $300.
I was thinking about the 9/11/09 game used signed Jeter baseball also, but was wondering if it will increase or decrease in value as time goes on, considering Jeter might break a couple of more significant records in upcoming seasons. If he passes Rose on the all time hits, the value of the Yankees all time hits baseball would dwarf in comparison, no?

It depends on the item. If you are getting something used by a coach or a common player or just a game used ball from the Series I would go with the Jeter signed ball from the Hits Record game as it was a milestone moment in a great player's career and there were only a certain amount of balls used in that game. There were more balls used in the Series and the Yankees have been there alot and are likely to go back in the future so a Yankees World Series ball is not all that unique and rare. And in 20 years the hits game ball will be more valuable and desirable to most collectors than something like Rob Thompson's hat from the Series, which at that point could be five Yankee titles ago.

Got a phone call from a Steiner rep. I'm on the email list as well and I don't think they posted most of the items they were calling about. As far as whether it is better to get something from the Inaugural season or World Series I would take the series if I could afford it as it is much more unique. However the Series items are liable to be very expensive for that reason.
