Picked up two items from the Braves today. A Jeff Francoeur game worn helmet (good use) and a Javier Vazquez BP jersey. The Vazquez is going on eBay and I want to keep the Francoeur but it depends on how much I make in return for the Vazquez. It's a pretty sweet helmet! I brought my girlfriend with me when I picked up the helmet & jersey in Atlanta and I pulled it out of the bag and all she could say is "oh my god you're so weird"

Wow, nice Pujols bat. Where did you find that?

It was at Albert's home until a few weeks ago, at which point he gave it to a family friend who sold it through a third party.

I imagine the problem with being a friend or family member of someone with any historical significance is that you're too close to appreciate it. To you, they're just good 'ol Joe Schmoe.

Fortunately, most collectors have no such problem

Thanks.... Its about an (retail) $800 case that I got used for a fraction of that cost... though I could have gotten a nice bat or two, it was worth it to keep the wife off my back!

2005 Pujols gamer, first MVP year. Cracked, with light use. Beautifully formed signature, with an unique inscription that says a lot about the way Albert approaches the game...

Adding to the Larkin collection:

Picked up part of a broken signed Larkin gamer that is hammered with use and has his number on the top. Along with a Larkin hat from 90-94 time period and his road pants from 89, set 1. Looks like the pants were passed along to somebody else at a later period.

2009 Autographed Game Used Pink Captains Patch Jersey Gary Brackett -
My favorite player on the defensive side of the ball...
This is one jersey i really wanted, as I could not afford the $10,000 Peyton Manning Jersey...haha...
It's got some sweet grass stains which I was able to photomatch. And i love that he's a 3 'star'/time captain.
This jersey was used @ Tenn on Oct 11, where the Colts won 31-9. Brackett had 6 tackles in the game.

Brackett is one of the most underrated players in the league, and he's just finally getting noticed. He was a captain on the 07 super bowl team. So, Good luck to him, and the colts in the super bowl!!!!

The less its spoken of the less likely I am to put my fist through my monitor. They don't open the f-----g doors early, that jersey is mine.

Not exactly a GU pickup, but related. In order to allow me to display some of my bats in the new house without setting off my wife's decorating sense, we compromised and I got this showcase... Unfortunately, I think I need another one... Still playing with the content and layout, but this is the way it is for now.
