Maybe not the right thread to post this question, but I have been trying to photomatch 2 items in my collection:

Jed Lowrie 2008 GU bat

Mason Raymond 2008-2009 Home GU/SIGNED stick...with one of those weird "player messages or personalisations on the shaft"...see pic below.

Where other than Getty and AP can I find a good assortment of game photos to try to find a match?

That is a sweet stick and great photo match. I love how some players do up their sticks. Just like baseball players with bats. You even sometimes see NHL guys spray paint the entire stick to black it out. If it is a brand they are not endorsing. Would be funny to see a MLB player black out and spray paint and cover logo on bats. Maybe it's been done.

Do the Caps sell sticks/equipment at the Arena?

Thanks. I have gotten some sticks with messages on them too which are cool, and this blacked out stick is rare for Ovechkin and to get a photo of what it looked like before the black substance wore off is nice to have with it.

The Caps have a limited amount of game used at the arena. It is hit or miss. There is no authentication system so I have seen un-used sticks and sticks used by other players marked wrong and many cracked sticks.

The jerseys go through the MEIGray system so the game used at the arena is limited to sticks, and then a small assortment of gloves, helmets, and some skates.

This is an Ovechkin stick used on 10-12-09 when he had 2 assists. My stick vs. the photo got much more use and the black sticky substance he put on the BAUER name on the stick started to come off too.

Since he doesn't endorse Bauer this season he used them for 6 games this season and taped over their name and put a black substance over the rest of it. Very cool rare stick.
