I have not been on this thread in a while but had to comment on two of the recent collections posted-
1. AWESOME Steve Young collection Paul. Your 49ers collection sounds amazing but to have acquired that many Young jerseys is a feat.
2. Bobby- I knew you had a number of Manny Ramirez bats...but didnt realize it was that many and to have that many photomatched is amazing.
It is great to have members like this that have not only significant collections but have amassed significant knowledge of team and player traits that they are happy to share with other members. Both Bobby and Paul have helped me not only with some purchases but also with great insight on team and player traits.
1993 home playoff vs Giants with team letter
1994 home throwback vs Broncos with team letter
1994 away throwback vs Saints with team letter
1994 practice worn with team letter
1997 away (but 49ers wore home red as Bucs wore white) vs Bucs
1997 home vs Saints
1998 Pro Bowl shirt from Herman Moore collection
I also had at one time a 1994 non throwback home shirt worn in the preseason and a 1995 home shirt both with team letters. Obviously if anyone has ANY Steve Young shirt that they are even thinking of selling please contact me. Big time $$$$ paid for either of the 2 shirts i sold years ago!!!!
I have a couple more up my sleeve that i need to finalize the purchase of and then i will post em.
Always looking for 49ers gamers especially 1994 shirts and ANY Steve Young shirt. I will pay good $$$$ for a late 80s Russell Young gamer or a USFL shirt!
I told my wife that you may have just become the motivation behind one of our next major family trips! Might be a year or two, but I'll keep you posted!! I've never been to Hawaii, so would love to visit and see you and your collection in person.
John
John,
Looking foward to meeting you in Hawaii real soon. I apologize for the late reply, I been down with the flu for the past week.
Thanks Bert. That doesn't include the black Louisville Slugger, Rookie Era Carolina Clubs, signed 2010 Marucci or my Rookie black Nike fielding glove. I'm searching for a jersey at some point. Hopefully I find a legit one soon.
I'm slowly getting a decent Jason Heyward collection that I'm pretty excited about.

Still have my Troy Percival collection, but now have also started a small Big Unit collection. It's a bit small but here it is: 1992 Mariners warmup jersey, 1999 Diamondbacks bat, 2004 Spring Training Diamondbacks hat, 2005 Yankees hat and a 6/4/2009 RJ pitched ball from Win 300 (Giants). Plus four bobbleheads and one McFarlane!!
If I can ever come close to building a display room like the one you have set up for your awesome collection, I would be thrilled. You and your family are welcome to stop by anytime when your in Hawaii.

Here's my updated Manny Ramirez collection up to 45 gamers and a fielding glove.
Four of the bats are photo matched to home runs:
The red handle Sam bat was used hit his 490th HR, signed SSK two-tone was his 532nd HR, signed SSK black bat was used to hit his 539th HR.
The hammered two-tone X-bat was used to hit two post season HR's including his 2007 ALDS walk off HR vs Angels closer Francisco Rodriguez and two days later in Anaheim Manny hit another post season HR off of Angels pitcher Jered Weaver, it was Manny's 22nd career post season HR tying him with Bernie Williams for the all-time lead at the time.
Currently Manny has 28 career postseason home runs, the most by any player in MLB history.
That's the most impressive single player collection that I have ever seen. In addition to the significance of some of the bats and the number that are photo-matched, every bat looks just pounded with use. Some of your other player collections would be the envy of most, but this is unbelievable. The minute you get them displayed like you've talked about, I'll come to Hawaii just to see them. It would be like walking into a museum.
