With each Larkin bat I pick up, I keep thinking about how at one time I never thought I would want more then one bat of a player.

Picked up another piece of Travis Snider game used memorabilia this month - this time, a pair of signed game worn cleats. COA from Center Field Sports, these were Sniders' cleats from 2006 when he was with the Pulaski Blue Jays, his first year in pro baseball. He wound up winning the Appalachian League MVP that year.

I know for the Phillies 2009 WS, each player had two sets of each jersey (home and away). They only used one set. The other set, which is "World series issued" was used during the regular season and then had the WS patch placed.

Thanks for the reply, the jersey does not show any use, and the flag taggings are new.

That is an interesting point you mentioned with the Phillies World Series game issued/regular season game used. I missed out on a Mariano Rivera 2009 World Series game issued, and now it makes me wonder if that was also regular season game used.

It could be that both sets were worn during the regular season or only certain ones. I wouldn't assume that all of the game issued jerseys will show wear since the Phillies do sell/auction jerseys throughout the year so some players might have had unused jerseys that had the patch added. The Rollins WS game used road jersey I have was definitely worn during the regular season though and shows heavy wash wear and use. I think for the most part players continue to use the same jersey they were wearing at the end of the regular season into the playoffs and have patches added as they advance.

The Phillies are also selling a Rollins WS game issued road jersey so it would be interesting to see if that one shows any wear. I was told mine was worn during the last couple of months of the season and all through the playoffs. Maybe the game issued jersey is one he wore earlier in the year?
