Terrific pickup at a unbelievable price. Turn the jersey inside out, are the back numbers and "BOSTON" applied using a single stitch method? I ask because I believe that is the way they applied the numbers and letters in 2004 - Retail jerseys are double-stitched.

I happened to catch this when the jersey was listed and it did not stay on long .... I was wondering what the deal was. I guess I should have taken a closer look. I quickly passed this off as another Asia knock off of some sort. Better let the page fully download next time. Weird listing.

Issued or worn I figured there was no gamble for the price. I asked the seller after I received it why he sold it so cheap. He did not respond. I wanted to get opinions on the jersey from you guys because I am a Mets guy and not sure what I am gonna do with it or how it fits in my collection. As I stated he sold 2 other jerseys home 04 spring training 07 pants 07 and 2 bats to another buyer called Mylittlepony on ebay. I emailed the other buyer and they stated the jerseys had use did not ask about the 2 bats.

The only thing that concerns me from the Ebay standpoint is that the seller only has 3 feedback reviews and I really don;t like his description when he states "The jersey was actually worn by manny ramirez in the 2004 baseball season." That's just me though and something doesn't seem right if the jersey sold for that low. But, if this jersey was indeed used or issued, then I guess $55 would be considered a bargain .

dcrules01 you've been on this forum since the start. I would have guessed you've seen Manny's crazy tagged jerseys with dirt stains on the tags. Do a search and you'll find all kinds of stuff on these jerseys.

Yes those are the "home made" tags that everyone talks about...

It doesn't make much sense to anyone why it was done, I guess just to put out as many "gamers" as possible...but when you make $27 million a year, why do it?
