    My problem is though.... He never played for the White Sox and the bat i have has Chicago White Sox on it under his name...

        Right. Like all humans, the people working at the bat manufacturers make errors sometimes too. There are a gob of bats with mismatched teams or misspelled names. Brian McRae spelled Brain McRae, Maggilo Ordonez, etc. Its an error bat no doubt, but shouldn't impact its authenticity.
