Just won this tonight. Ankiel Mother's Day bat used by Mike Aviles. Somebody won it last week but it got re-listed.

I think the buyer realized it wasnt used by Ankiel and refused to pay, they did relist with an accurate title, which surprised me... kudos to them for actually listing it as borrowed, maybe there is hope yet for MLB to understand the hobby better. That's what I figured. I like the borrowed bat price much better as well!

That Ripken bat has been superglued back together. The seller didnt bother do mention that in the description. I emailed him and asked him.

Picked up this new Ed Hearn bat with a very strange tape job. (never seen anything like it on a Hearn gamer)

As an added bonus I was fortunate enough to get an explanation for it straight from the Man himself.

Definitely one of mine. The "built up taping job" on the bottom was to accentuate the C271 taper & the the top tape is hold a foam pad at the point where my R hand grip the bat between the thumb & index finger...this was done because at the time, I must of had a bruised (sore) right hand from getting jammed real bad. I only put that foam pad there when that top hand was sore, But definitely the real thing!

I've seen the smaller knob tape on one other bat but never the larger tape.

Just received the game used, autographed Jimmy Rollins Rawlings bat I purchased recently. The bat is hammered with use. It is also MLB Holo'd to a game on August 2, 2009.

Hologram number LH564252 was located in the MLB Authentication Database under GAME-USED BROKEN BAT.

Didn't have a J-Roll Rawlings model bat so I was happy to add this one to the collection. Got a couple of messages out to forum members hoping they can help me out with some screenshots from MLB.TV. Will post some pics of the bat once I get a chance to take some pics.

Finally took some pics of my new Rollins bat. I photomatched it to several games between July 20 - August 2nd when it was cracked. He also used it to hit a HR vs the Cardinals on July 26th.

Just picked this up a few days ago on Ebay and was able to photomatch it to the Wildcard game against the Jets in 2007. I posted some photos under the Phtomatch thread. Very Cool.....
