Went to a GCL game today in Viera, Florida to see the GCL Nationals and GCL Cardinals. I sat in the bleachers behind home plate with two other spectators and some players, one was Orlando Hernandez. He was helping the younger guys chart pitches.

I expected to come away with a bucket full of foul balls but they had players assigned to fetch them. However, there was a HR hit by Anthony Bryant of the Cards, and I was able to find it and pocket it.

Not exciting, but a g-u pickup nonetheless. My first game-used GCL ball, to go along with game used South Atlantic League, International League, Southern League, and Major League baseballs.

Sctizzle- great looking O'Neill. I was going to pull the trigger on that one but was too late. Let me know if you have any interest in making a quick profit on that one.

This is my first game used bat. Signed and attributed to hit #2814. Gwynn, Boggs, and Carew were at the top of my favorites list from the 80's and 90's, so when I saw this bat, I bought it. And since I'm new to bats, I went with a PSA graded one and a what seemed to be an obvious reputable reputable seller (I think he's a member here). Being from Alabama and following the Braves closely, Dale Murphy was atop my list, so I'm BOLO'ing for a Murph bat.

Great to be here; looking forward to learning and viewing the awesome memorabilia, including the great stuff in this thread.

Nice bat Greg, shoot me an email when you get a chance, Nick- nunnari19@yahoo.com

I agree that the grain just isn't the same. On your bat, the logo (on the reverse) is on a dark spot; then there are two more dark 'layers' (the rings on the wood that darken faster) going down the barrel before you get to the handle. On the photos from the game, the logo is on a dark spot--but there are like 4 or 5 dark rings going down the barrel before you get to the handle. In other words, the grain in your bat is thicker than the one from the photos, so there aren't as dark rings from the logo to the handle.

Did Holliday use any other bats in that game? Obviously you're going to have to look closely; maybe he switched out between at-bats.

Not me. Unfortunately, I didn't have the extra funds right now to go after it.
