A couple of my favorites are two of my earliest Marty Cordova items. The first is from the summer before he was a freshman in high school in 1984, playing in the Senior League Tournament - 7/14/84. His mother would pay kids to get his home run balls and she would calligraphy them in the stands. She might have been the Original Ballhawk!

The second is a "jersey" he wore the summer of 1987, after he graduated from high school. He toured Europe with the Baseball Ambassadors for 19 days. I also have his passport from the trip (not pictured):

Cordovacollector, thx for the idea on displaying the glove, I will keep it in mind.

Interesting homerun ball and jersey....always interesting to see what treasures are lurking in the collections of the other members here.

It was a tough one but as of right now it's gotta be my Brandon London N.Y. Giants jerset from 2007. Only worn during preseason because he was then on the practice squad, and its the closest to a photomatch that I have out of any of my jerseys. Plus I didn't spend much on it at all!

A bit of a toughie, I'm very pleased with the Betemit Uniform that I managed to piece together which he wore on the final game of the 08 season at Fenway complete with helmet, cleats and absolutely filthy pants and jersey but am gonna have to go with my my Mike Mussina uniform he wore on the day Moose struck out his 2500th K on June 25th of 06! Gave it to my Mom as a present, she loves the Moose!

This is one of my favorites...Jeff Feagles...worn on 11/28/2004 and he got crunched wearing this jersey! It has dirt stains that remain after being washed by the team. Has Giants LOA. I knew it was cool when I saw it in a picture, but it is an awesome jersey in person.

Some great pieces and stories to go along with yout items! My most cherished piece is a foul hit baseball my then girlfriend, now wife, caught at a minor league game several years ago on our second date. She has it stored now in a safe deposit box at the local bank.

Why is that (minor league foul ball) ??? I think she'd want it displayed somewhere in your home..

Unfortunately, we don't live in the safest of neighborhoods and a couple of apartments in our building have been burgalrized over the years so she decided it would be more secured to have it stored in a safe deposit box. We're working on moving soon and hopefully a new location will allow for us to display it next to our wedding photos.

Well, the poster isn’t game used, but the bat has got to be one of the best known game used items of the modern era.

My favorite items are those that are personalized or that I have a personal connection to. The stories behind the items are more valuable (to me) than the items themselves.

I’ve given several items to the Hall of Fame over the years, and in 1997 went to Cooperstown to produce a poster of George Brett’s pine tar bat in support of Brett’s charitable foundation.

According to the HOF curator, I was the first person to hold the pine tar bat (other than museum officials) since they had received it from Brett. Note the white gloves I’m wearing.

We actually brought a suitcase filled with infield dirt from Kaufman Stadium to use as the background for the poster, and were delayed before boarding the flight to Albany to explain to airport security why we were carrying a bag full of dirt.

We shot the bat at 1:1, so it’s displayed on the poster at actual size. The poster was produced in a limited edition of 317, with Brett signing each poster. Another photo from that same shoot is on page 66 of the book ‘George Brett: From Here to Cooperstown’.
