Did you happen to win the uniform of that same jersey and black pants last year? I lost the Milledge one.

Didn't win that one last year. Did they recently auction the hats that went with these jerseys?

Don't expect to see those hats auctioned off, they never auction them, but they did auction the Clemente caps. I managed to get the Milledge one.

Also did you see the Piratas Doumit jersey a few weeks back?

Yeah, I decided against that one. I'm a massive Reds collector and most of my money goes into that. I like Alvarez and Doumit and Milledge on the Pirates, along with Willingham and Dunn on the Nats. Almost bid on the Indy Indians Alvarez black alternate a few weeks ago but passed. My main player collections would be Willingham, Jorge Cantu, Jonny Gomes, Eric Davis, and working on Votto.

Do you currently have any Milledge items?

This is a different situation but I have experience in removing name plates from football jerseys. I will take a scalpel and cut the stitching on a corner of the name plate. Once you have loosened the corner you can pull on the name plate and it will pull apart the stitching until you get to the next corner. The corners are reinforced. Once the name plate is removed and have picked the threads out of the jersey it looks almost as good as new. If you look close enough you can see where the needle entered the fabric from when the name plate was applied to the jersey but no holes from the actual removal of the nameplate.

I just added a game used 2000 road black Al Leiter Mets jersey. The jersey is Rawlings size 48, set 2 and is signed by Leiter on the front left chest, just above the numbers. I wish I could post pictures but for some reason it's not working when I make the attempt.

I've done this a number of times for both letters and numbers. It's slow going, but not that difficult. Sometimes there's an outline of the number/letter or adhesive from the twill is left behind, but there are tricks to remove those too.

I have a Milledge jersey that was switched from "44" to "85" and left behind a lot of trails.

I've never worked with that type of material...it may be tougher to clean up. I've just worked with standard mesh (NFL authentics, older hoops jerseys). White jerseys are the toughest. I've done white Steelers jerseys and white hoops jersey. The work is only half done, once you get the numbers & letters stripped. Then it's time to take it outdoors and break out the chemicals

Just picked up two 80's Orioles lineup cards. Both are the top copies bearing the original autograph/writing of manager Joe Altobelli.
