got my alex smith BCA gamer today and it smells like a true gamer! Nice use for one game but the smell! i am sure the other higher end shirts are really nice. I wanted the VD as i have the 09 BCA so the white would have gone nicely with the red i own but at 2K i dont need two. I hope they auction more shirts thruout the season. I will post images tomorrow.

Looks like the Rodgers did go high, $8,010. But he didn't beat Favre, who went for $8,030.

If anybody's interested, here's a price comparison of some of the BCA jerseys from last year to the ones that have sold so far this year.

The only surprise is Johnson. Brees is coming off a Super Bowl win, Favre's flood the market and Williams went too cheap last year (post auction before this season both jerseys mentioned sold on Ebay for $1,500). Rodgers is a steal if Packers jerseys stay rare and he plays like he has for several more years.

What did everyone win? I ended up with Eli Manning. Yes, I know I retired from collecting but I made an exception for him because I am putting together a permanent collection of QB jerseys of Super Bowl winning QBs from this era and you don't see many of his on the market that can be traced to a specific game. I am glad that in the process I was able to help such a worthy charity. I may have to amend my collection to Super Bowl MVP Winners though because I doubt a legit Big Ben jersey will ever reach the marketplace.

Just heard a snippet of last night's Senate election debate between Harry Reid and Sharron Angle...Reid, as clueless about sports as most politicians are, from either party, spoke of the NFL players wearing "pink helmets". Total error for now, but maybe a future idea...?

And plus the Favre ones, there's always 2 a game for each half with barely any wear. Not saying the ones on there are fake, but if I'm going to spend $1k+ on any football jersey, there better be some use on it At least the other QB ones show use and not like a puddy like Favre who never wants to really play and get dirty.. LOL

Yeah to me they are a rip off for that reason. And the first half of this game he did absolutely nothing the Vikes had three and out after three and out and scored zero points. The second half one would go for a fortune but I assume he kept it. He threw his 500th TD pass and two more along with his 70,000th yard while wearing that jersey. He even tossed in a game losing interception, his trademark lol.

Aaron Rodgers is my prediction to go highest. QB jerseys go for alot always and he is a top 5 qb and no other jerseys of his on the market. There are so many Favres on the market and with the allegations alot of people will back off.

And plus the Favre ones, there's always 2 a game for each half with barely any wear. Has anyone else noticed a bidder jtnflfan that has emerged in these auctions? Does anyone know if it is it jtnbafan expanding his collection into football or just someone playing around? Because in NBA Auctions he usually doesn't bid until close to the end of the auction.
