Just wanted everyone's opinion on this non-cracked 34.5" McGwire bat. The left barrel is deadwood, and I'm assuming the batch number dates it late in the 2000 season. Thank You
Jeff Scott's web site was very helpful (Thanks Jeff!);this bat seems to have the appropriate characteristics, but I wanted to ask anyway.
Does anybody know anything about the 2000 batch numbers for Rawlings bats? This one's 897; that's pretty high isn't it. Jeff site mentioned that Rawlings typically reached 800's-900's. Jeff, did the Rawlings guy ever get back with you with that batch number information?
I picked this bat up recently and am just now having a chance to look at it closely. Man, there's red inside the ball stitch impressions!
Its a great bat! I am the one that sold it to you, Im glad you like it. I sold it because I have a signed 2000. I am trying to get one from every year 87-01. Its going to take me a life time!

The signing sold out in 5 days. It was limited to 300 pieces.
I was on the promoters mailing list and he emailed me the day before he sent out the notice as i sent in 7 items to the last signing he did back in july. So i kept in touch with the promoter on a week to week basis. If there is another one i will let you guys know in the future.
I'd think there's a decent chance Mac will sign at the Cardinals Winter Warm Up event in January, now that he's confirmed he's coming back to coach again. It would be good PR for both the team and Mark if he made the effort to attend the Warm Up and sign, especially if he did so for a reasonable price. We should know in a couple months if that'll happen. Stay tuned.
