Re: January Pickups
Bama,
Nice jerseys. Both styles are pretty rare. The 1999 Full Rainbow TBTC were given away to random fans. I was fortunate enough to buy one years later from one of the lucky fans.
The 1995 Shooting Star jerseys were also given to random fans.
In regard to the victory, many people don't realize, but Chris Donnels also ordered Victory jerseys. Funny how three guys would do that, but they preferred the Victory over the Russell.
Thanks for sharing the photos!
Thanks,
January Pickups

Re: January Pickups
Back from the Minute Maid with these RARE jerseys. I have a thing for Astros TBTC jerseys and these two take the cake. First up is a 1999 M&N Moises Alou rainbow TBCT with matching pants. Both are made in Berlin with proper tagging. Alou was injured for the whole season due to his treadmill accident but apparently they made him a uniform. Never seen this jersey anywhere except the Ryan a fellow member owns. Love the screened on Astros and the StarLeave a comment:

Re: January Pickups
They had a 3-4 late 80's jersey's and some 1990's Goodmans. They don't have them in the team store but in storage. They usually just sell the stuff during the games from a booth they have behind home plate.Leave a comment:

Re: January Pickups
Nice pickups! And, the Original, Sand-Knit Rainbows were screened-on, while the Goodman's were sewn-on. And I agree, the Shooting Star TBTC does look off-kilter from the originals.Leave a comment:

Next up is a 1995 TBTC shooting star jersey made by Victory Athletic. This company out of LA supplied Bagwell, Biggio custom jerseys in the late 90's while the rest of the Astros wore Russell Athletic. This is #12 of Rickey Gutierrez who played mostly as a bench guy in 95. Never seen this jersey in my life till today and can't find photos on the internet. Jersey is really sweet. Not really accurate as it has tackle twill wordmark not chain stitch.
