Yes, Dave. I think it is best to leave as-is. It is still a MLB Flannel with somewhat of an oddball appeal to it. Now, how did a Cleveland gamer from the early 60s end up as a softball/baseball jersey from a league team in California? My guess is that it may have been recycled twice. Maybe from Cleveland to a northern California farm club, then to a tire retailer?

Warren, the Indians had a minor league team in Salinas, CA in in 1965 so maybe that's how it made it's way out to Cali? In any case, that's the coolest softball jersey I've ever seen! Nice pickup!

Salinas? That sounds like the answer. It's a cool jersey and I'd like to keep it. Being out of work, I must let the new acquisitions go first. Seems like I only can afford to keep the $50 items.

Sweet bat and super nice inscription. McCovey was one of my al time favorite players as a kid.

Thanks Schubert - terrific power hitter from that era and his bats are somewhat undervalued too-IMHO

These arrived today. There's an uncracked Prince Fielder D-Bat from the 2008 season. The other is a Ben Oglivie cracked Adirondack bat from 1982. Both of these guys have hit some long home runs in Milwaukee over the years.

Thanks Scott!! It even looks better in person. The bat just has a grain crack on the barrel. I knew someone like you would enjoy the Oglivie bat. Now I just have to get it signed.
