Maybe the O in the nameplate...looks narrower, but it could just be that it's not laying flat.

But at the end of the day, my name's Pierre...

the 7 is also off notice the ones Ben is wearing has a narrower longer cut at the top part of the number while the jersey posted is more short and chunky.
Again, I don't really see a difference between the number and letters when looking at the Getty image on left.

Just a word of advice that I learned the hard way. If you have a GU Jersey that is important to you, you should always try to attend a private signing or some format where you will get the best possible signature with good authenticity.

I once had a Jersey that I haphazardly stuck in a players face to be signed and it became a mess. The player scribbled his name and the signature could never be authenticated.

If you have a "Keeper", you should always take your time and do it right. It also gives you the opportunity for the player to personalize the Jersey for you....Such as "2011 Superbowl MVP" etc.

Unless your buddy is planning on having Lunch with Rothlesburger, I would tell him not to go out of his way to have it signed.

the material of the nameplate and font lettering are both inconsistent with Steelers game jerseys.

I am assuming black thread since the jersey and name plates are both black? My friend has the jersey now trying to get Ben to sign and I don't have it with me to inspect.
Contact me personally if you are thinking of buying this from me I will not sell it less than I purchased for.

it's pretty obvious this is a customized Roethlisberger jersey that was created either from either a blank jersey or previous player with name/number removed. the material of the nameplate and font lettering are both inconsistent with Steelers game jerseys. Ben also wears sizes 48/50 and this is the first time seeing a size 52.

also read more about Steelers game jerseys here and you'll see the team holds a very tight grip on all game items and doesn't release them for sale to the public. only a handful of Steelers game jerseys, like Santonio Holmes with JoSports, have surfaced. at best, you have a Steelers pro cut jersey (not game issued because you don't have proof where this originated from) customized with Roethlisberger's name and number. make sure you clearly distinguish this when you sell it and don't mislead potential buyers.

Haha! So that's where Big Ben beef jerky comes from What do you think of the jersey - pro cut or game issued? I'm clueless when it comes to NFL gamers as I only collect baseball. Saw this at a good price and with my friend going to the BIG GAME I gave it to him to try to get Ben to sign, bring it back, hopefully the Steelers win the Super Bowl and profit big on Ebay.

I don't have the jersey with me now because I gave it to a friend who is going to the Super Bowl to see if he could get Ben to sign it. What other photos were posted on the other forum? The only thing I can do is load those Pham sent me. Are these the same ones?

The first pics were just closeups, so we couldn't see any tagging, pockets, etc. And we were initially comparing it to Reebok authentics.

This was the best photo from the first batch. The 2nd set included tagging photos.

Would you mind posting the link to the forum or uploading the images posted there so I could take a look and see if this is the same jersey?

I forgot to attach this in the first post. This is the pocket warmer. Does that other board talk about this?
