Hi salmon, do you have any updates on whether you were able to get the jersey signed and if you are still selling it? After some additonal research and speaking with those very knowlegable about Steelers game items, I strongly believe your jersey is not a team prepared game issued rather a blank pro cut that was customized into a Roethlisberger jersey with similar specifications to his gamers. Contact me so we can discuss this further.

Hi salmon when you get the jersey back could you post some photos of the sleeves and Reebok logo? I just want to see how that looks. Thank you.

If you have a "Keeper", you should always take your time and do it right. It also gives you the opportunity for the player to personalize the Jersey for you....Such as "2011 Superbowl MVP" etc.

Unless your buddy is planning on having Lunch with Rothlesburger, I would tell him not to go out of his way to have it signed.
I'm not sure if Ben holds any signings and if so it will probably be after the Super Bowl when the hype dies down. If my friend is able to get this signed I'll include the used Super Bowl ticket as proof of authentication.

I don't know much about team tags. seeing this is the same seller who sold the other Ben game issued 08-50 and that this 42 looks to have the same nameplate material and font as the Getty Image, I assume this jersey is also fine as well.

I'm guessing Ben wore a size 42 in his rookie season since this jersey has the older Reebok tagging
I'm guessing BBR has never worn a size 42 pro jersey.

And maybe it's snowing or raining in that dude's house and that's why the nameplate looks shiny on the jersey that's on the hanger. And if we're going to use the camera angle argument, then how can you be so sure the 7 on the left Getty photo isn't the same as the jersey on the hanger?

Also, does anyone know what size Ben wore his rookie season and what size he wore last season? Because I'd bet my house that BBR was 30 lbs. heavier last year, than he was during his rookie season.
does it appear to you that the beginning top of the 7 in both Getty Images also appear slanted whereas the jersey posted it doesn't have any curves?

I think it's the camera angle or maybe it was snowing/raining that game so it gives the jersey a slick look to it. Take a look at other Steelers game jerseys and there is no shiny material on the nameplates.

IMO....The 7 in the Getty image on the right is identical to the Jersey posted. I don't see any difference in the Ebay listing at all.....Although my eyesight isn't what it once was.....

Agreed....The Material and Font of the name plate and number looks identical to me. When I first looked at the nameplate material, it looked too shiny, but I think that the Getty image is the same material.

this is a real game issued Ben jersey cut to his specifications can you see the difference in the 7 now? this looks more like a match to the Getty Image
