Re: Your Rarest bat
I have a Curt Motton bat in my Angels collection. It took years to find it and I believe mine came from eBay also.

Re: Your Rarest bat
I wouldn't necessarily consider it rare since I'm sure there are others out there somewhere but my Curt Motton '73-74 Orioles bat has proven to be a tough one. I won this on eBay awhile back and in my almost 10 years of collecting I have never seen another one of his bats before or after anywhere.
If you have one you'd be interested in selling please let me know. Mine is getting lonely!Leave a comment:

Nice one, Jim. Regardless of team, his bats are a tough find.Leave a comment:

Re: Your Rarest bat
Tough call. I only have three bats, and each is rare.
This one is from 1911-14, and was used by a semi-pro catcher in Iowa against various semi-pro Negro teams, including (probably, but no positive i.d.) the Buxton Wonders, Kansas City Giants and Chicago Giants. I haven't researched the player's team enough - I'm sure there are other teams of importance that he used it against. As far as I can tell, it's the earliest bat used in a game involving Negro teams.Leave a comment:

Re: Your Rarest bat
Mine are all from newer players, so nowhere near as rare or amazing as ones I have seen on here.
Still, I have a couple nice ones:
Torii Hunter GU bat he signed for me at Twinsfest.
Brian Dozier unbroken bat from his rookie year he signed; it came from his personal collection.
Yoenis Cesepedes A's GU bat from his All Star season in Oakland, before he was traded.Leave a comment:
