I have a Posada that has a similar bend. I have it hanging in a vertical holder and it drives me crazy sometimes because with this bend it stands out from all the others hanging straight. I think it may have something to do with the fracturing of multiple wood grain layers.

Alot of times players mess around with broken bats and try to break them over their knee. Looks like this bat was bent over something, someone tried to snap it in half.

Must have been a heck of a collision between bat & ball.

The bat doesn't even sit on the bat rack just right.

I know the bats bend some when they are being swung. Anyone know the science behind why this happened and why it doesn't happen more often???

Yes!!I have a Cole Hamels Louisville bent back the same way-I'll post pics after work.Makes it a bitch to stand up,that's for sure!!

Last month I bought another Paul Sorrento Rawlings Devil Rays bat. It is cracked and bent like a fork.
