Was hoping to see one of Bruce's 2 bats he used.... guess I have to wait for the next round and watch all your crazy Hos collectors.

The only thing that could steer me away from the Hosmer bat is a game issued unused Longoria pink bat. I'm hoping one shows up, but if not, the Hassle-Hoss is my target....sometimes I wish I could drop a $3K bid and be done with it! Oh how I wish to win the Lotto....

LOL! Yeah, nice try! I'm am giving all I got for that one. I anticipate it to break over $1,300.....I'll certainly be a part of that!

Sounds like I might as well not pay any more attention to the Hosmer stuff... His average is down to .255 or something, so not sure why he's so hyped right now.

I like the Stephen Drew "team issued" bat that they showed cracked. wonder if the pic or the description is wrong.

Pretty sure that the cleats are gonna be a hot item also, heck anything Hosmer related is gonna have a bidding war most likely.

Does MLB do a Father's day auction?
What would there really be to auction off? Occasionally they would auction off the jerseys with the ribbons on them, but now they just remove the ribbons and continue to wear the jerseys. The father's day garb lacks immensely compared to what they do for father's day.

Bahhh.. the Willingham bat is used but not by him during the game. He was using a black 2 tone.

Only players under contract from Underarmour were allowed to wear pink cleats.

It would be nice if we could state on a thread for auctions like these items that people want to purchase from the forum and it would be nice is others would stay away from it. I usually try to contact fellow rays game used collectors and ask if they are pursuing a certain item. If they want something really badly, I am glad to hold off bidding against them, why drive the price up even more?

I like that MLb is now going with "issued" with more items, but it certainly puts a flaw in the overall authentication for the past. It is like when PSA started doing half-grades for their cards like what BGS and others were doing. They change the rules after years of doing it a certain way, would have been nice if they got it right the first time. I.E. game "used" batting helmets that never saw the field of play are commonplace for a lot of older MLB throwback auctions.

I thought MLB did a pretty good job of detailing some items such as not being game used or just issued. Overall a great selection for the first wave of Mother's Day items. A selection of game worn cleats. I'm pretty excited...

Indians pitchers Josh Tomlin and Alex White pink cleats are listed but neither pitched on Mother's Day either.

Ditto for the Royals Joaim Soria...
