I picked these bats up yesterday at a local flea market. All the bats show great use. 5 out 6 bats have side writting on them. One bat still has the stamps still stuck on it from mailling it back to H&B. Their from the H&B bat vault sale. Couldn't pass them up. The bats are of the following players. I like the look of vintage game used bats!!

Yeah! the current Hawks jerseys have a tag inside them along with a COA from the organization. Not sure when the tagging started though? As far as sets go?? It all depends on the player. I've seen Toews with up to 3 sets. Generally 2 sets, Home and Away for all players total of 4. The black alternates 1 set, but I believe most players only use just 1 jersey.

I'm always looking for Caribbean league items at a reasonable price, so I was surprised and happy to pick up this Dominican Aguilas Cebaenas team bat for a song on eBay, and it just came in the mail yesterday.







The auction photo wasn't the greatest, and the description meager, so I didn't really know what I had till I had it, and I have to say I'm really pleased. There's a small, inside-out handle crack, an interesting and intricate tape job, and tons of pine tar, as you can see. Best of all, the knob has a number, and there are initials ('EH') in the cup, written in silver paint pen.



I started out without a lot of hope of being able to i.d. who actually used this bat, but the number and the initials were promising. I went to the team's official website, and started scrolling through the photos. Almost immediately, I came to a photo of a player wearing '69'.


The captioning was hard to figure out. There were numerous "headlines" and player names above and below each photo, so it was difficult to know who this player was...so I went looking for a roster.




Elian Herrera wore '69' for the Aguilas Cebaenas during the 2010 Winter League season. He's also a minor leaguer for LA's Chattanooga team - which would explain how the bat got to Chattanooga, the location of the Seller from whom I obtained it.

So now I've doubled my Caribbean bat collection.

I just picked up this awesome 2011 Game issued Mizuno of Ichiro !! The bat is clean of any ball marks but does show signs of light pine tar. The autograph is 100% on the money.

Straight from the Mick Fong and Doug Friedman's collection...A battle scarred game worn 1997-1998 Robert Horry LA Lakers Road jersey. Size 50 +4. Nike Sports. Tremendous sweat stains in the collar and shoulder lines, lots of threading and balling in the letters and numbers and hem....The smell is horrrendousssss!!!!!!!

With me picking up the CJ today, I almost forgot about these that I found at a local Goodwill

Game worn/issued Vermont jerseys - I'm thinking these are the University of Vermont and not the Vermont Lake Monsters minor league baseball team. There were 3 more of these there and I'll probably pick them up Saturday if they're still there.

Found this Indianapolis Indians jersey in an antique shop this past weekend. Thought it was cool and the price was decent so I brought it home. I date it to between 1978 (Wilson tag thread) and 1983 (the last year they were a Reds affiliate). If anyone has more info I love to hear it.
